Roll the moose-shaped dice to determine the number of spaces to move your piece around the game board. Avoid MAYHEM cards... or try to quickly recover from them. Use MEAL cards to gain energy and move forward. The winner is the first player to reach the FINISH and declare “Don’t Moose with Me”!
Shuffle game cards and place cards face down near the playing area.
To determine who rolls first, each player takes a roll of one moose. The player with the highest score starts the game. Other players follow in turn from left to right.
Each turn consists of rolling two moose and drawing one card. The position the moose lands determines the number of spaces to move.
All players put their game pieces at START.
On your turn, roll two moose and move your piece the combined number of spaces. After you move your piece, draw a card from the stack and follow the directions. Place card in discard pile when finished.
If, after rolling, drawing a card, and following the card’s directions, your piece lands on a space already occupied by another piece, both players must “SPAR”. (See “READY, SET, SPAR!!!” under TYPES OF CARDS)
No matter what you roll, you must stop each time you cross a Moose Crossing and your turn ends. DO NOT draw a card.
If your piece lands on a FAST TRACK or GO BACK space, move your piece to the space on the other side of the path. FAST TRACK spaces only move you forward on the trail. GO BACK spaces move you back.
The winner is the first player to reach FINISH and declare “Don’t Moose with Me”!
There are two types of cards: MAYHEM and MEAL. Cards may be used or kept for use later in the game depending on the directions.
MAYHEM cards may move a piece forward or back, cause you to lose a turn, or make two players to “SPAR”.
MEAL cards are used as fuel throughout the game. Move your piece forward the number of spaces on the card. POISONOUS MUSHROOMS and JUNK FOOD cards will always move your piece back. (See Game Variations.)

Spending summer vacations together exploring the mountains of southern Colorado, the game makers were inspired by wildlife they witnessed first hand. Each animal had its own personality and mayhem would often arise. One of the family favorites was “Peggy”, the moose with a broken leg. Moose Mayhem™-The Board Game was created by Charlotte, Henry, their aunt Brielle, and uncle Chris, with encouragement and support from many family, friends, and forest creatures.
The game play and board were first created and drawn on a rainy afternoon after a couple of wild moose had a little sparring match outside the cabin window.
The first moose-shaped dice were hand-sculpted in clay. Brielle made several silicone molds, refined the design, and used epoxy to create individual moose-shaped dice… ONE. BY. ONE. The biggest hurdle was finding a way to produce the moose consistently and on a larger scale. The moose-shaped dice have now been converted to a 3D model file which can be used for mass production. We have tested different materials to find our desired level of bounce.
